Going High Definition is another first for the Flicko’s franchise, which is headquartered in Louisville and specializes in preserving, editing, copying, transferring and converting film, video and other media, along with equipment rental. “We’re fast forwarding to Hi-Def,” said Bill Bellis, who along with his wife Andrea, founded Flicko’s Video Workshops in 2003 to offer customers drop-off or do-it-yourself video and audio services and equipment rental. “Going Hi-Def truly puts Flicko’s ahead of the emerging Hi-Def trend and is designed to give our customers the easiest possible access to state-of the-art Hi-Def video services and equipment.” In going Hi-Def, Flicko’s will offer High Definition cameras for sale or rental, in-store rental of editors, duplicator, player/recorder and monitor with professional or do-it-yourself options. The company uses Sony’s Blu-ray disc format “People are using video to capture and preserve their most cherished moments from weddings to Little League games to birthdays,” said Bellis. “And while standard definition camcorders are still being used, Hi-Def television screens are appearing in more living rooms around the country, making Hi-Def recording and editing the clear choice today and tomorrow for preserving moments with remarkable clarity and resolution.” Hi-Def currently available at Louisville location only. |
