Convert your tape to and from different international systems.

Although a VHS tape and a DVD may look identical across the entire world, various countries have different standards. These standards have to do with the signals written on the tape. For example, a VHS from Great Britain will not play in an American VCR because the signals from the tape are different from those used in America. These different standards necessitate foreign film conversion. The major international systems are listed in the table below:
